Known as the “Heart of Harford”, the Town of Bel Air is filled with activities for you and your family to enjoy during your stay. We offer a wide variety of dining, shopping and cultural events, all of which are easily accessible from Cedar Lane Regional Park.

Located just 15 minutes from Cedar Lane, historic downtown Bel Air offers many independently owned restaurants and unique specialty shops or you can find familiar box stores and restaurants along the Route 1 and Route 24 corridor. You may also opt to spend free time in one of our parks enjoying the playgrounds, exploring the trails, or admiring our public art, including our popular “Hearts of Harford”. If you’re looking to learn a little more about the history of Bel Air, consider a self-guided Driving or Walking Tour or stop by the Historical Society of Harford County located in the old post office on Main Street.

As a state designated Arts and Entertainment District, Bel Air is well known throughout the region for its vibrant year-long schedule of festivals and events. Whether it’s the Sweets on the Street event in March, the BBQ Bash in August, the Festival of the Arts in September or the Film Festival in October, there is truly something for everyone. Bel Air also boasts a decades old farmers market each Saturday morning from April through November which features fresh, local produce and specialty products. In addition, summer time brings a variety of free concerts and outdoor movies to Shamrock Park.
